Step onto the forest floor in a new way where fungi tower above you
Step onto the forest floor in a new way where fungi tower above you
Shroomscape is an immersive virtual reality experience that invites visitors to shrink down to the size of a tiny forest critter and wander among giant mushrooms. Encounter four distinct species of fungi, each recreated at monumental scale, revealing textures, forms, and details that often go unnoticed.
As you move through the landscape, these familiar organisms become vast architectures. Mushroom caps form canopies overhead, stems rise like towering trunks, and the forest floor transforms into an unexplored wilderness.
By changing scale and perspective, Shroomscape encourages curiosity, wonder, and a deeper appreciation for the hidden worlds that exist all around us.
We exhibited Shroomscapes for the Little Mushroom Festival at Sensible Earth in Moira, Goa.

Wild Perspectives is a series of immersive experiences that explore nature through shifts in scale, perspective, and embodiment.
The project is built around a simple idea: our relationship with the natural world changes when we experience it from a different point of view. What happens when a mushroom becomes as large as a tree? When a blade of grass feels like a forest? When we stand beneath a giant canopy or inhabit the world of a tiny creature?
Using virtual reality, we create encounters that make the familiar feel extraordinary. By altering our sense of size and place within an ecosystem, these experiences aim to evoke wonder, humility, empathy, and respect for the more-than-human world.
Rather than teaching through facts alone, Wild Perspectives seeks to create emotional connections with nature. Through moments that encourage people to see, feel, and relate to living systems in new ways.
The response to Shroomscapes has been great and I am seeking collaborators from across science, education, art, and technology.
I am interested in working with scientists, ecologists, biologists, mycologists, conservationists, researchers, educators, museums, and learning organizations who are excited about exploring new ways of communicating knowledge and fostering connections with nature.
People who are interested in translating research into immersive experiences, creating educational tools that inspire wonder, or experimenting with new forms of storytelling and public engagement, I’d love to connect.
If that sounds like you, get in touch!
