Designing for Farmers, Not Just Farming
When a climate-smart agriculture app backed by WWF and IKEA struggled with adoption, I spent three months living alongside cotton farmers to understand why. What looked like a technology problem turned out to be a problem of trust, language, and familiarity. Through field research, rapid prototyping, and a complete redesign of the farmer and advisor experience, the platform became more approachable for the people it was built to serve.

An award-winning XR documentary that transforms storytelling into an immersive lived experience.
INSIDE is an XR documentary about solitary confinement that invites audiences to step beyond observation and into experience. Rather than simply telling a story, the project uses an immersive experience to place participants within environments, creating a sense of presence and emotional connection that traditional formats cannot achieve. The result is a documentary experienced not just through the eyes, but through the body.

What Happens When Learning Feels Like Playing?
In collaboration with Snapchat and Inspirit, I explored whether augmented reality could improve student learning outcomes. Instead of treating AR as a novelty, I borrowed principles from game design such as movement, physics, exploration, and reward loops to transform abstract STEM concepts into interactive experiences students could physically engage with. The study demonstrated measurable improvements in engagement and comprehension.
Designed AR learning experiences for middle-school STEM education
Turned difficult concepts like volume, mass, and density into interactive simulations
Applied game-design principles to educational content
Created intuitive 3D + 2D interaction systems for AR
Partnered with Snapchat Lens Studio technology

Bringing the Power of VR to Every Classroom
How do you convince teachers to use a technology they’ve never used before? By making it feel familiar. Working with Inspirit and Meta’s vision for classroom VR, I led the design of a browser-based lesson creation platform that transformed existing teaching workflows into immersive VR experiences. The result was a tool adopted across more than 100 schools and integrated into real classrooms.
Led UX research with educators across the U.S.
Designed a VR lesson-authoring platform inspired by familiar tools like slide decks
Created search and discovery systems for thousands of educational assets
Shipped 20+ major feature releases
Contributed to deployments across 100+ schools

Walk amongst towering mushrooms in a world designed to create wonder, curiosity, and empathy for fungi.
What happens when you experience the forest from the perspective of a tiny creature? Shroomscape is an immersive experience that transforms ordinary fungi into towering monuments, inviting visitors to walk amongst giant mushrooms and rediscover the natural world through scale, wonder, and curiosity. By altering perspective, the experience encourages a deeper emotional connection with ecosystems that often go unnoticed.

An immersive exploration of threatened ecosystems helping people notice and appreciate the nature already around them.
Most people travel far to experience nature while overlooking the extraordinary ecosystems around them. What We Have is an interactive storytelling project that encourages audiences to slow down, pay attention, and develop a sense of appreciation for the living world immediately around them. Through playful exploration and carefully designed encounters, the project transforms familiarity into discovery.
Themes: Nature Literacy, Observation, Sense of Place
